The first new educational programme, “ICT and Transportation” was created for the following major reasons: The notoriety of the three institutes, Telecom Paris, ENPC and ENSTA, which bring together their know-how, their educational expertise and a new programme, “ICT and Transportation”. The new area of ICT and Transportation which is recognized as a new discipline but for which no specific Engineering programme can e found either at university or at Engineering institutes. New graduates students will easily find a jobs with companies working in one of 3 large areas :

    - the automobile industry : PSA, Renault, Alstom, etc.) and automobiles equipment manufacturers such as Valeo. There is a need to associate the manufacture of vehicles s with new Communication Technologies. It is now essential to take into account vehicle constraints linked to environmental issues and industries working in these areas need to recruit Engineers with a strong background in both Information and Communication Technology as well as Transportation,

Such a profile cannot be found today despite a real need.
