The First of New Training Programmes at ParisTech



According to the decree of March 21, March 2007, the ten institutes of ParisTech are now under the aegis of the French Ministry of Education. ParisTech has decided to launch new academic programmes which bring together the expertise of several of the member Institutes. Such programmes will treat new state of the art disciplines and will thus permit ParisTech to meet the evolutions of the modern world. ParisTech. Students will be able to choose from among a whole range of new thematic programmes and thus link their future professional career to the training they will receive.

France and Brazil consolidate their cooperation in engineering education



The Franco-Brazilian Forum, Companies & Engineering Training, (in French, FFBEFI) which took place on April 19-20 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, attracted some 180 experts on French and Brazilian Engineering training. In addition, some fifteen companies were present with seven of them (ALTRAN, ALSTOM, CRESCENDO, GEOSERVICE, L’OREAL, RENAULT, ST-GOBAIN) financially supporting the event.

A Student Residence for ParisTech at the Cité Internationale



On March 7,2007, The ParisTech Administrative Council approved a project creating a residence for ParisTech at the Cité Internationale of Paris. The agreement, signed with the Foundation of the Cité Inernationale for a period of 10 years, beginning in the autumn of 2008, stipulates that, at the historic Boulevard Jourdan site,175 housing units will be at the disposal of ParisTech for « transitory students, professors or researchers ».

Paris’ Sciences and Technologies Institute, called ParisTech was launched by decree dated the 21st of March 2007 under the status of a public institution of scientific cooperation.ParisTech which was created in 1991 under a non-profit-association status, got an institution frame thanks to this new recognition which allows the institution to strengthen its growth.

PARISTECH INSTITUTE’S CHINESE FRENCH EXHIBITION



Around the Chinese New Year’s Day, ParisTech’s Chinese French association (AFCP) set up an exhibition presenting Chinese traditional culture and young Chinese life nowadays. This event aimed to give a general survey of China and Chinese students within ParisTech Institute. It took place in the Institute’s library till the 16th of March. On the 7th of March 2007, the opening gathered 300 people at the National School of Mining Engineering in Paris.


PASTEL WEB SITE TURNS THE 1000 THESIS MARK



Since January 2007 and after its launch 5 years ago, PASTEL web site has turned the 1000 registered thesis mark. Consequently, PASTEL stands as one of the most important web sites listing French thesis on Engineer Sciences. Thus, each registered thesis is downloaded at about 5 times per week, French request representing 30% of the total internet accesses.


PARISTECH INSTITUTE TAKES PART IN ATHENS’ FORUM



Athens’ forum will take place at The National School of Mining Engineering in Paris on Thursday, the 22nd of March 2007 from 6.00 pm to 10.00 at night. It aims to gather both ParisTech’s and Athens’ foreign students, 7 European Companies and ParisTech’s Engineering Schools.

PARISTECH INSTITUTE’S BIRTH



The scientific and industrial of the living and the environment Institute (ISIVE) was launched by the decree dated the 14th of December of 2006. It gathers three high renowned schools which are “INA-PG”, “ENGREF” and “ENSIA”. Thus, AgroParisTech becomes the most important European Institute dealing with the living sciences and technologies. The institute’s new frame offers a strong international insight.
